Located at the North Head Ferry terminal, Pettes Cove Arts carries a very good selection of handcrafted, locally made gifts.
• Beautiful pieces of jewellery handcrafted by L. Michael Stymest: Michael has been making jewellery for well over 30 years in both sterling silver and karat gold. We have a selection of whale’s tail earrings and pendants, a Swallowtail Lighthouse pendant, whale’s tail cross and many other nautical pieces. There’s also a collection of Michael’s exclusive designs in rings, pendants and brooches. Michael still custom makes pieces for clients worldwide.
• We are honoured this year to carry Brian Stymest’s artwork on T-shirts and note cards. Brian completed his art training and has exhibited extensively in London, England. Since moving to the US, he has exhibited in various galleries in Montclair and has won multiple awards from the New Jersey Watercolor Society. His notable commissions include the Queen Mother, Bette Davis, Groucho Marx, Lord Luke, Katherine Hepburn, and many others. Brian has created many assorted puffins, Swallowtail Lighthouse and the North Atlantic Right Whale in artwork that has been signed and reproduced exclusively for Pettes Cove Arts.
• Local Knitting: A large selection of shawls, ponchos, wool sweaters and hats, all knit on Grand Manan.
• Grand Manan driftwood seabirds, carved by Noble Needham.
• Briggs and Little Wool Yarn: Briggs and Little has been producing fine wool yarn in New Brunswick since 1857. It is Canada’s oldest woolen mill. We have a large variety of their colours.
• Large assortment of shell and nautical jewellery made on Grand Manan, and much, much more!! Open Seven Days A Week (until Thanksgiving)
